918 - 925 Fun Things to Do!

218.  Read books in a series.  It's so fun to read the first book and know there are lots more books to come!   My sister, Barbara Hiney found and enjoyed the author, J. D. Robb and proceeded to get many of her friends and her niece, Maribeth Floyd hooked on the series.  Whenever a new book came out, she would rush to the nearest bookstore and grab about six copies to distribute to her buddies and niece, Maribeth.  When our beloved Barbara passed away, I told my daughter Maribeth that I would make sure she got the latest J. D. Robb always.  Maribeth has recently joined her friend Tina in a challenge to read the whole series, which is over 50 books!   The main character is Lieutenant Eve Dallas, who is in charge of the Homicide Division of the NYPSD (New York Police and Security Department).  Her husband is Roarke, who is a billionaire and wildly in love with Eve.  The series is set in the future - 2050s/2060s.

219.  Go to the grocery store and find a weird vegetable.  When you get home, you can look up how to prepare it.

220.  Watch the birds in your backyard and observe their activities.  Recently I was gazing out my kitchen window, and listening to classical music.  I noticed that the music coordinated with the birds on my feeders, and flying around.  Try it - you'll like it!

221.  Play solitaire with real cards!

222.   Make up a new joke.  Here is my latest - What kind of jewelry do cows wear?
mood rings!   (I love jokes kids would tell!)

223.  Pick a day as a holiday for yourself!  Do anything you want any time you want!

224.  Go to a Silent Reading Book Club online or in person.  It's a very companionable experience.  I started one at our local library recently and it is so much fun!  There are silent writing, crocheting, quilting, and more online via Zoom.

225 - Take a flower arranging class.  This is a worthwhile and fun endeavor!
